The Axle Interbay

Overview

We’re proud to have been awarded a 2019 Associated Builders and Contractor’s Excellence in Construction award for this LEED rated project. Beginning in winter of 2017 to winter of 2018, we had the great opportunity to be painter of choice for the Lennar “Axle” apartment complex in the Interbay neighborhood of Seattle. We were awarded this job through Venture General Contracting, with a scope that included painting the entire exterior, the complete interior package, and supplying and installing all wallcoverings.

The interior package alone consisted of 226 apartment units ranging from studios to two-bedroom townhome units. The scope also included a full amenities area, exercise facilities, multiple elevator lobbies, a tenant lounge, dog washing room, bike locker, mail room, manager livings quarters, leasing offices, two stairwells, and a large lobby. Over 21,000 hours of labor were needed to complete this job of 776,637 SF of paintable surfaces, which was performed to LEED Gold certification standard.
